Day 1: Solalex to Deborance You'll be met at AIGLE train station at 12:30, which you can reach with regular trains from Geneva Airport. After a 30-minute bus shuttle, you’ll hike up the Vallon du Solalex which immediately feels alpine and remote. In the shadow of the famous Miroir rock face, we first reach Anzeinde where we can stop for refreshment before crossing the alpine meadow of the Pas De Cheville. We then drop down to Refuge du Lac de Derborence, a dortoir and restaurant, our stop for the evening and a hot meal. In the evening we can enjoy the sunset over the lake, listen to marmots and spot ibex and chamois. Day 2: Lac de Deborence to Cabane Rambert After a traditional Swiss breakfast and an optional swim, you'll walk up the valley. The trek follows the river up to La Chaux Alpage for pancakes and coffee. Then the pastures of Pro Flouri, Lake Forcle and the Col du Forcle. We have some rough ground to cover before our final climb to your accommodation, in the remote Cabane Rambert with their herd of bouquetin. The guardian will prepare our meal whilst we enjoy the view from the terrace across the entire Alps. Day 3: Cabane Rambert to Cabane Demecre The day starts with a hike past the waterfalls of Le Pessot, to Ovronnaz (known for a fantastic cafe and tart!). After stopping for a break, you'll continue to trek past beautiful mountains including Tita Seri (2850m), Dent de Morcles (2,970m) and Grand Chavalard (2 898m). In the evening, you can relax and enjoy the Cabane Demecre speciality spaghetti and sunset views towards Lake Geneva with the rest of the team. Day 4: Cabane Demecre to Javerne Today is your final day of hiking, trekking back towards Lake Geneva. It's an early start as you make your way up to Perris Blancs Pass, boasting some of the most incredible views of the Pro Natura conservation region. After lunch at Cabane de la Torche, it's then a pleasant hike down the mountain to Javerne and your shuttle to Aigle, for around 14:30. From here you can take the train around Lake Geneva to the airport, or spend some time relaxing in the Swiss Riviera if you have a late flight home. PLEASE NOTE: We take 25% upon booking, then the final balance by January 2025. Monthly payment plans welcome, just get in touch once deposit is paid. Flights not included
