Service Description

Day 1 - Marrakech to Imlil - We get picked up from Marrakech airport and the drive is 1h30 - 2h to Imlil . Here we will have time to relax and take in the atmosphere of the village with great views from the roof terrace of the mountains. We will have some food, Moroccan tea and a brief on the trek. Day 2 - Imlil - Trek to Toubkal Refuge - We start early with breakfast and Moroccan tea. Then we meet our guide and start the trek trail towards Toubkal refuge. We will have a picnic lunch before continuing up the mule trail to the Toubkal refuge (3200m) – The timing of walk will be around 6h taking in the amazing views. Freshly squeezed orange juice is available on the mountains by the locals. Once we arrive at the refuge we can either stay in dormitories or camp outside. Day 3 - Toubkal Refuge – Toubkal Summit – Trek to Imlil We have an early breakfast at 5am to enjoy the fresh morning weather getting to Mount Toubkal peak. The ascent is not too difficult, but can be demanding, with sections of scrambling/loose scree. The views from the top are stupendous, north over the plain of Marrakech and south to the Sahara. We look down on many other peaks in the High Atlas and the village of Imlil. After some snacks and photos at the top, we start to retrace our steps to the refuge, in time for lunch. After lunch we descend slowly to Imlil. The descent is not difficult but it is long. we arrive in Imlil late in the afternoon. Here we will stay once again, to grab showers and sleep for the night, before heading back to Marrakesh in the morning. Day 4 - Imlil to Marrakesh After breakfast we will head back to Marrakesh. If you have time before your flight, you can take a free walk around the market and the alleyways as they look like something out of an Indian Jones movie with restaurants, gifts and some local cuisine. INCLUDED: Transport to and from Imlil from Marrakech, English speaking guide, mules to carry the luggage/food, accommodation in the refuge, all food during the trek including mineral water. NOT INCLUDED: • Mountain equipment - Mineral water (only with meals) WHAT YOU NEED: Small back pack, walking shoes , sandals, hat, gloves, sun glasses, sun cream, socks, trousers, rain coat, water purification ( tablets for treks), personal medication, head torch, personal travel insurance and flights to and from Marrakech. PLEASE NOTE: We take 25% upon booking, the outstanding amount is due no later than 6 weeks before the event. Or monthly payment plans
